Dear Neighbor,
This week marks a renewal for our community and
city as myself, City Council members and Mayor Rahm Emanuel were sworn into
office. It is a great honor and privilege for me to serve as your Alderman, and
I am dedicated to improving the quality of life for the residents throughout the
48th Ward.
My staff and I are focused on
increasing the safety on our streets, improving the education in our schools,
expanding economic development throughout the ward, and repairing our local
infrastructure. We are committed to providing prompt and professional
constituent service to residents of the ward and will work to ensure that city
government is run in an ethical and efficient way for the taxpayers of our great
city. I look forward to working with Mayor Emanuel as we take on the many
challenges facing our city, including the city’s budget and pension
deficit.
My office will be run in an open, accessible
and transparent way, and I will look to you and the many community organizations
in our ward to share your ideas with me on how we can work together in
partnership to make the 48th Ward a better place to live, go to
school and run a business.
Please visit my website, www.48thward.org or
call my ward office at (773) 784-5277 to offer ideas, suggestions for the
